Otocinclus (Wild)

Otocinclus catfish are small (1.5–2 inches), peaceful algae-eaters perfect for planted and community aquariums. These armored fish feature mottled tan-gray bodies with distinctive black stripes and thrive in groups of 6 or more. They graze on soft algae and biofilm but need supplementary foods like blanched vegetables when algae is limited. Requiring stable water conditions (74-79°F, pH 6.0-7.5) with low nitrates, they're sensitive to parameter changes and best suited for established tanks of at least 10 gallons. Ideal tank mates for small, peaceful fish, shrimp, and snails.
