ARG METRONIDAZOLE Anti-Parasitic 500G

ARG Metronidazole 500g provides a potent solution for treating parasitic infections in fish. This quantity is ideal for larger aquariums. Metronidazole is useful for the treatment of certain protozoan caused diseases of freshwater and marine aquarium fishes. It is primarily indicated for the control of diseases caused by hexamita and spironucleus (the suspected cause of hole in the head and lateral line erosion). A secondary use for Metronidazole is for the control and treatment of ichthyophthiriasis (Ich)

Treatment procedures and dosage: Bath: Metronidazole should be used at a concentration of 5 mg/L ( 18.9 mg/gal). partial water changes must be made prior to the beginning of treatment every 24 hours thereafter, followed by  retreatment. Continue the treatment for 5 to 7 days, but improvement is not noted within three days, discontinue treatment. To achieve the recommended therapeutic dosage use one (1) level teaspoon for 164 gallons of water ( 1/4 teaspoon per 41 gallons). For accuracy and reproducibility of results this drug should be measured by weight. However, because of it its relative safety in aquariums, it may be measured in teaspoons when treating small volumes of water.
